Just a heads up.the US-122 with current Mac drivers (3.4.0) does not work in 64 bit. It does work for me with 10.6.8 in 32 bit. Use 'arch=i386' without quotes as boot command or in plist. Forces Mac OS X to boot into 32-bit mode. Boot options list from Here To verify 64 or 32 bit in.

I have recently updated my iMac to 2.7GHz Intel Core i5 OSX 10.8.4.Previously I had a 2007 Intel iMac. I had a Tascam US-122 Audio-Midi interface which I used with Logic Pro. When I updated the iMac, the Tascam wouldn't work, so I acquired a newer model, the. I downloaded and installed the latest drivers and firmware update, which are said to be compatible with this version of OS X.However it is not working. I will try and ask Tascam but they don't appear to have end-user support, and I bought the unit via mail order, so I can't go back to the retailer. But as it stands, this unit is currently an expensive paperweight. If you go to ApplicationsUtilities, there is an app called AUDIO Midi Setup.app. When that is launched, go to WindowShow MIDI Window. Then from what I recall, you're able to scan for connected devices. There is also an Add Device icon. I.think.

I either scanned, or I used that to connect, when the TASCAM was plugged in - it was 6 months ago now and I have forgotten exactly what I did. (The annoying thing was, I already had the Tascam US122 which was the earlier model, but otherwise very similar, and had I known about this step, it might have worked on this iMac, but it is now sitting idle gathering dust.)But this step of opening MIDI/Audio and then opening the MIDI window, is not documented anywhere in the Tascam manual and is hardly obvious from looking at the iMac. With the older versions of Mac OS, connected midi interfaces were auto-configured.That's all I know. Well, this Tascam US-144 has stopped sending MIDI. It works fine as an audio interface, and in all other respects, but when I hit a key on the Midi controller, Logic Pro doesn't register a MIDI signal.

So it is not sending MIDI. I have the latest driver, it appears as a Device in the Audio/MIDI app, but Logic Pro just doesn't know that it is there.I.think. this is a dud device, from what I can tell.
